Last year, we introduced Costa Coffee to the U.S. with the goal of reimagining the coffee category, transforming the perception of coffee from a functional beverage to a premium, quality experience for all. Costa’s success is grounded in deep coffee heritage and remains committed to making premium espresso and drip coffee accessible to everyone through groundbreaking, autonomous coffee technology combined with more than 50 years of experience in coffee craft.
Costa Coffee offers a full range of innovative, flexible options for various channels and consumer occasions:
- New this year is Costa’s Schaerer Coffee Soul S10. Ideal for restaurants and other “behind the counter” scenarios, the Coffee Soul 10 offers a 10.4” touchscreen with a graphical user interface, which allows staff to launch the preparation of common orders almost instantaneously. Other recipes are also easily accessible with minimal machine interaction. Soul 10 offers a variety of options to multiply each consumer’s choice, including: patented Best FoamÔ technology, flavor point syrup station fitted under the counter, simultaneous dispensing of hot water and coffee for ease and efficiency, and hot and cold brewing ability. Twin milk storage containers allow the machine to dispense multiple milk varieties, including dairy free and plant-based options, without the risk of cross-contamination.
- Costa Smart Café is a revolutionary piece of autonomous equipment that provides barista-quality coffee at the touch of a button – essentially an unmanned coffee shop in a box. It’s the first intelligent system in the industry to provide a comprehensive user experience addressing all five senses. As labor shortages remain an ongoing challenge across the foodservice industry, Costa Smart Café is ideal for operators as it is designed to dispense over 100 drinks before any human maintenance is needed. The real-time reporting and telemetry and highly reliable technology mean that operating costs can be reduced while revenues are boosted. The Costa Smart Café was selected as an honoree for this year’s NRA Kitchen Innovation Awards.
- We are also sampling Costa Flat White Ready-to-Drink, which debuted late last year. Costa Coffee shops around the world are famous for the signature flat white, which is an espresso-based beverage with a thin, “flat” layer of steamed milk. We’re excited to now offer it in the U.S. in a ready-to-drink format. The 11-oz. can feature a coffee-forward flavor profile with a balance of coffee and milk for a sophisticated taste perfect for mornings – or afternoons – on the go. The beverage is offered in three flavors: signature blend, mocha and caramel.
- Costa Proud to Serve is Costa’s in-outlet coffee solution for customer locations that want to serve world-renowned Costa Coffee by name. This platform is ideal where a premium coffee offer is wanted but coffee isn’t the main priority for the customer. It can be set up as self-serve for consumers or back-of-house for the crew to prepare beverages as ordered, so it’s a great option for foodservice, hotels, leisure and the retail channel. Proud to Serve equipment options include our countertop model, high-capacity hot brewers, cold brewers, air pots and single-serve pod brewers.
